My baby, Abram, was born November 29, 2009. He had a terrible time with reflux. He cried constantly. He would be content for only minutes at a time and then would be screaming in obvious physical pain. He was projectile vomiting at least twice a day. It was so sad. We tried several different infant formulas. No help. We tried over the counter medications and herbal remedies. Nothing. I switched him to anti-gas bottles. No help. Our pediatrician put him on prescription #1. No help. Changed him to prescription #2. Nothing. Finally, he referred us to the Pediatric Gastroenterologist. They require the pediatrician to call and they review the chart before they'll even make an appointment. Since Abram was gaining weight just fine, in spite of it all, the specialist refused to see him. My pediatrician told us we'd just have to deal with it and that if the medications and formula weren't making a difference, go ahead and stop the prescriptions and go back to formula #1. He'd grow out of it eventually. I was at the end of my rope. Abram was obviously miserable and I was so tired of dealing with a fussy baby all the time (and needed sleep!). More than anything, I wanted a happy baby.
A couple of people mentioned chiropractic to me. I was very leery about it, but decided to look into it. Among other things (all positive), I found an American Academy of Pediatrics study that took 16 babies all with severe reflux and medicated. All 16 were found to have misaligned spines! All 16 were helped by chiropractic adjustments. So, I made an appointment. It changed our life. The first visit, Abram was in the waiting room crying and had hiccups like no one's business (he had hiccups after each time he ate). Dr. Guillory adjusted him and the hiccups immediately went away. We set up to come three times a week at first. From that first appointment, he started spitting up much less frequently, more like once every other day. After the second visit, so two days after we started going, he slept through the night and was much less fussy! After the 5th visit, he no longer cried when being adjusted and instead seemed to enjoy it. Dr. Guillory said he could tell a difference in his spine too. Apparently, this type thing is very common in traumatic births (Abram's definitely qualifies). We weaned down to two times a week, then once a week, then every other week, and so on. Abram has now been released to an "as needed" basis. He now (after 2 1/2 months of chiropractic adjustments, but the results were seen much sooner) no longer spits up, sleeps well, and is the happiest baby I have ever seen. I wholeheartedly recommend it. I cannot thank Dr. Guillory enough for helping Abram be the joyful baby he wanted to be all along!

In June 2008, I was suffering from unbearable back pain and walking was pure torture. After a week or so of self-medications, my wife convinced me to see a doctor. The first doctor's diagnostic method was to use my description of the back/leg pain and then he gave me a prescription for vicodin. I was surprised he did not order x-rays and/or lab tests to determine the specific cause and/or its possible cure. During the next month, I saw another doctor and, he too, only prescribed the drug vicodin. Needless to say, I was feeling no pain but couldn't function and still did not have any permanent relief.
My wife suggested see a chiropractor. I'm very skeptical about doctors but since I was in immense pain and out of vicodin, I decided to find a chiropractor. I searched our medical provider's in-network database and found only one chiropractor who had Saturday business hours, Dr. Bruce Guillory. He was able to see me that morning and determine my problem could be a pinched sciatic nerve. His first advice was to discontinue taking any more vicodin and he scheduled me for a MRI exam Monday morning to rule out any other serious problem. Fortunately, I had no other problems, just a pinched nerve and with several treatments and adjustments, I am no longer bothered with any pain.
Dr. Guillory recommended a core strengthening exercise regime to minimize the chance of future problems. He has the exercise equipment in his clinic and I work out three times a week under his supervision. My name is C. H. "Rich" Richardson, retired, and living in the Atascocita, Texas area. On June 14, I'll be 67 and feel better than ever.
Thank you Dr. Guillory and your dedicated staff.
